About 200,000 types of mold exist. The good news is most of them are harmless. The bad news is some molds can produce mycotoxins that can cause mold poisoning. Symptoms of mold poisoning may include, Shortness of breath, Nose bleeds, Memory loss, Nervousness and anxiety, Abdominal pain, Rashes, Hair loss, Headaches, Fatigue, Fungal diseases, Psychological and personality changes. Unfortunately, many people go to the doctor with symptoms and are diagnosed with something else. The U.S. Environmental Protection Agency and the states regulate mold in public buildings. The only way to tell if you have mold in your home is have a mold inspection. Toxic mold has been linked to some deaths. In 1993 the deaths of nine Ohio infants was linked to toxic mold.
