Lead Metal

Any level of lead metal in an individual's blood stream can be dangerous. That's because lead creates radicals which damage cell structures. Lead will also act like other metals that are important to the body such as iron, zinc, calcium and iron. This can do significant damage to the body. High levels of lead in the blood can lead to serious health problems. The most well known is lead poisoning. The symptoms vary but include: A lethargic feeling, A metallic taste in the mouth, Chest pain, Stomach pain, Headache. Many of these symptoms are mistaken for something else. However when a person's gums develop a bluish tint that is an obvious sign of lead poisoning. Another sign of advanced lead poisoning is pallor. The most deadly form of lead poisoning is when lead metal objects are ingested orally. This can lead to death quickly.
